Mission and Overview
"I don't let my mouth say nothin' my head can't stand."

Mentors: deepening the practiceTo further develop what I learned and practiced in the workplace I decided, in 2004, to study communication strategies in a more diverse set of environments. This started with a month of intensive training centered on essential principles of human interaction with master martial artist and philosopher Peter Ralston. I then attended a residential introduction to Scotland's Findhorn Community, a forty-year-long experiment in community building, where I encountered alternative approaches to consensus building and meeting facilitation. In order to expand my understanding of conflict resolution, I began to study mediation with John Kinyon. I was encouraged by his example to attend many workshops with international peacemaker Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., whose work continues to inform and improve my own. I am honored that John Kinyon and I have now developed our relationship to include co-facilitation and collaboration.
